Zone Level Drops Steal Spawns

Caedarva Mire

  • See below
A = Aggressive; NA = Non-Aggresive; L = Links; S = Detects by Sight; H = Detects by Sound;
HP = Detects Low HP; M = Detects Magic; Sc = Follows by Scent; T(S) = True-sight; T(H) = True-hearing
JA = Detects job abilities; WS = Detects weaponskills; Z(D) = Asleep in Daytime; Z(N) = Asleep at Nighttime; A(R) = Aggressive to Reive participants

  • Spawned by trading a Mint Drop to a ??? at (J-6) in Caedarva Mire. (Note: Zoning through Arrapago Reef is not required.)
    • The two imps near the ??? respawn every 5-10 minutes.
  • Spams -agas tier I - III, and tier II - IV single target nukes. Has a very strong Fast Cast.
  • Uses standard Imp Abilities that last the regular amount of time
  • Resistant to enfeebles.
  • Builds resistance to Stun.
  • His horn breaks more often than normal Imps. Break may be triggered when running out of range of a spell.
  • Fairly low HP and defense.
  • Melee attacks are relatively weak, but Frenetic Rip can deal up to 1,300 damages on a melee or mage job.
    • Recommended PLD/WAR tank, with multiple physical DD jobs to kill quickly. Ninja sub job virtually useless due to aga spells. Samurai sub recommended.
  • Easily killed with 6-10 well prepared people.
  • Builds Resistance to Stun quickly, but BLU spell stun lands very frequently.
  • A single WHM can use Curaga I and II without pulling hate from a PLD and keep an entire party capped out.
  • PLD/RDM works wonders.
  • Having someone with an AOE stoneskin i.e. BLU SMN SCH recommended
  • Can be duo'd by BST (easy trio) in the same manner normal Imps are fought. Requires a bit of luck however since you would need the two Imps that spawn near the ??? to be killed by exp party or you can easily kill them. Can be a simple pull all the way to where Wild Karakul spawn as long as Imps that spawn in between are being taken care of by exp parties. There are 13 pets you can throw at the NM (including birds) but beware that if Sanraku changes mobs to sheep while you are working on Verdelet, you will likely run out of pets. Should also be noted that you don't try and accidently charm the Sheep NM in the area.

Historical Background

In medieval European demonology, Verdelet is a demon who transports witches to the witches’ sabbath, the gathering of witches and demons to practice witchcraft, eat the meat of slain children, worship Satan, etc. Verdelet is also the master of ceremonies in the court of Hell.
