Notes:[]
- Spawned for Fellow quest: Mirror Images.
- The battlefield has a level 50 cap and a 15 minute time limit. You will fight him with your adventuring fellow.
- Vassago uses Kindred TP abilities and casts DRK spells. He has a rather slow attack rate, but can hit hard.
- He also has a special ability called "Blighted Gloom", which deals dark elemental damage. There's a significant delay between the dustcloud animation and the ability actually being used, allowing time to get out of the way. If your Fellow is targeted, he/she will counter with Blessed Radiance.
Historical Background[]
In Christian demonology (Late Medieval- Early Modern European), Vassago is a demon with the rank of Prince of Hell, commanding 26 legions of demons. There is no description of what form he has. He can talk with certainty about the past and future (but not the present), and he can find anything lost or hidden. Unlike the vast majority of other demons, Vassago was said to be of a good nature. Vassago is 1 of 72 demons listed in the Ars Goetia (the first section of the Lesser Key of Solomon). He does not appear in the Pseudomonarchia Dæmonum. The fact that Vassago is the only Demon that does not have a defined form (some are vague, just stating 'monster') may have inspired Square-Enix to make Vassago a spirit without a corporeal form, which is his nature in the storyline.
