To be honest, I'm no longer keeping my profile information up-to-date on Wiki, if you want to see my actual stuff, it'll be found on the FFXI section of my blog.
Name Choice: Kryssan was the name of the eagle familiar of the Eagle Sage that denoted the coming of great war for the people of Lon Tobyn in the book series The Lon Tobyn Chronicles, by David B. Coe.
This character started on the Sylph server and has migrated to both Pandemonium and Valefor in order to continue playing with real life friends over the past 3 years,
however, has given up on them and returned to Sylph since sadly online friends tend to be more reliable about actually playing the game. and it would seem I'm still a glutton for punishment by doing it once again and returning to Valefor to play with RL friends... we'll see if it lasts any longer this time.
Kryssan is my main character now for playing in FFXI.
Due to the length of my main character's original page, I've decided to split it up a bit for easier reading.
Name Choice: Caelestis is Latin for "One who dwells in heaven". It is from my character's name in some stories I wrote a while ago in high school, mainly daydreaming stuffs. The full name is Avius Caelestis, which together means "Lost in the heavens", where the word 'heavens' is a sudonym for the universe/cosmos. The name itself is a pun on J.R.R. Tolkien's quote "Not all those who wander are lost."
Caelestis was originally the first character I created on Sylph when returning to FFXI in 2005, however after heading up a few levels on RDM and returning along a similiar path with my first character, Gaftonoshu, I decided to try a different tact and created Kryssan later that year. Since then, Caelestis has become one of my mules.
Name Choice: Gaftonoshu is from the Crest of the Stars anime series, and is the mythical eight-headed dragon responsible for guarding Earth, or Gaia. Gaftonoshu appears as the crest/seal of the Abh race in the anime series.
Gaftonoshu was my original character in FFXI. However, due to work related issues, I decided that it was best to no longer continue playing at that time. Specifically, I didn't really have time for the game. In retrospect, I wish I had kept the character around, for use now that I have returned to playing, but that's what Hind-sight is for, 20/20 vision. It's been so long since I had this character I don't recall that much about its details other than its basic stuff; I can't even recall what the server was that I played on.
