Final Fantasy XI has seen a lot of different weapons for each job, but those that really stand out are the so-called "Ultimate Weapons" which have high damage and low delay and are able to push the limits of a job's potential. Players often refer to them as "REMA"-Weapons or, since the July 2018 Update, "DREAM"-Weapons. There are currently five types of Ultimate Weapons in two categories:
- Weapon-type specific
- Job specific
Ultimate Augments[]
Also, since the September 2018 Update, those Ultimate Weapons are now able to be augmented, along with the JSE Necks, with the Divergence Weapons following in the near future.
