Obtain the quest in Ru'Lude Gardens from the orange ball top cap Moogle near Maat by trading your weapon to the moogle. Obtain 40 Flame Geodes. Trade the 40x Flame Geodes to the chest immediately right of that same quest moogle. Finally trade your quest weapon to the quest moogle for the upgrade.
