The Star Onions is a group composed of Square Enix composers who perform arranged versions of songs from Final Fantasy XI. They first appeared on September 11, 2004 during the Square Enix show for the release of Chains of Promathia in Japan. Their first appearance outside of Japan was during the Final Fantasy XI Fan Festival 2006 on March 11, 2006 in Santa Monica, California.
