Walkthrough

• Travel to South Windurst Waters (S).
  • Examine the right Rhinostery door at J-9 ( Windurst Waters (S) south map ) for a cutscene.
    • Make sure to check the Right door; examining the left door will start a quest called Healing Herbs.
  • Check it again for a second cutscene. (Optional)
• Bring a Mythril Beastcoin and travel to Giddeus in the present.
  • Head to the second map (Underground Level) and go through the Wistaria Doors behind Uu Zhoumo at F-6.
  • Talk to Quu Bokye, who's walking around in the corridor on the right.
  • Trade Quu Bokye a Mythril Beastcoin to obtain the Key Item: Leather-bound Book
• Return to the Rhinostery in Windurst Waters (S) and click the door at the right side for another cutscene.
  • Examine the Optistery door at F-8 for a cutscene.
  • Checking the door again will repeat a shorter version of the same cutscene. (Optional)
• Travel to Meriphataud Mountains (S), and zone into Castle Oztroja (S) at K/L-8.
  • CAUTION: Yagudo and Gnats detect by sight, while the Jumbo Rafflesia detect by sound.
  • Upon entering, go through the door and to the end of the corridor.
  • Carefully locate the ??? at G-8 on your left, and examine it to obtain the Key Item: Lynx Pelt.
  • CAUTION: Yagudo in this zone are "Tough" to "Very Tough" to level 75. Be patient and wait for them to turn their backs if you do not have a quick escape.
  • If you do the hunt for the ??? and are signed up for a Campaign Battle there, then if/when you die, you will NOT lose any EXP when you bloodport out.
• Bring a Vellum and return to the Optistery in Windurst Waters (S). Trade the Vellum to the door for a cutscene. (Note: There is no need to do anything with the Lynx Pelt; trading the vellum will kick off the cutscene that you need. Having the Lynx Pelt enables the CS.)
  • Vellum can be crafted (Leathercraft level 31) or purchased at the Auction House under Materials - Leathercraft.
• Wait one game day (until the clock changes to 00:00). No zoning required.
• Return to the Optistery in Windurst Waters (S) for a final cutscene to receive your Scroll of Retrace.
