Walkthrough[]
- Having completed the previous quests, approach the Chocobo Stables at Upper Jeuno (G-7) to trigger a cutscene with Jeridade and Mapitoto.
- Purchase a
Celestial Nexus phantom gem for 10 Merit Points from a High-Tier Mission Battlefields NPC. - Travel to the Celestial Nexus. Most easily via Home Point (Tu'Lia > Shrine of Ru'Avitau > Home Point #1).
- Activate the door and choose ★The Celestial Nexus from the battlefields available. Any difficulty level will suffice.
- Defeat Eald'narche. You will receive a short cutscene and the Broken flying machine.
- Return to Mapitoto at Upper Jeuno (G-7) for another cutscene with Jeridade. You will lose your Broken flying machine.
- Journey to the Strange Apparatus at Fei'Yin (G-6) and select it receive a clue as to your next step. Via Home Point (Fauregandi > Fei'Yin > Home Point #2), though there's a lengthy walk.
- Obtain a Green Chip . Either from another player, a BCNM, or the goblin merchants in each city that sell them for 21,000 gil.
- Obtain an Infinity Core . Either from Dynamis, or from the Auction House (Others > Misc.)
- Obtain 38x Crystal Clusters . The total amount can be of any combination of types. Either from the Ephemeral Moogle if you have stored crystals, the Auction House, or dropped from Elementals in Ru'Aun Gardens and Ve'Lugannon Palace where you will be heading next.
- Obtain a Ve'Lugannon Coffer Key . Either from the Curio Vendor Moogle for 5,000 gil if you possess the Rhapsody in Umber, or from Detectors, Dustbusters, Mystic Weapons and Ornamental Weapons in Ve'Lugannon Palace.
- Find the Coffer in Ve'Lugannon Palace and open it with the key to receive the Levitation device.
- Obtain Doctor status. You must obtain doctor status from another zone.
- Return to the Strange Apparatus at Fei'Yin (G-6) and select it. It will confirm whether you have Doctor or Administrator status (without Doctor status, you will be unable to continue). The Strange Apparatus in Fei'Yin will NOT administer Doctor status if you do not have it.
- Trade the Green Chip and Infinity Core to the Strange Apparatus for further dialogue. You will lose your Levitation device.
- Trade the 38x Crystal Clusters to the Strange Apparatus to receive the Whirring engine.
- Speak to Mapitoto at Upper Jeuno (G-7) for a cutscene with Jeridade and Brutus. You will lose your Whirring engine and receive the ♪Levitus key.
