I don't know if this is pure coincidence or not, but I just finished camping the NM after about four hours. During that entire time, I was the only thing around the spawn point, and each time it only reported that "the sprout is looking better." At the end of the final waiting period, however, rarabs and sylvanestre suddenly started spawning around me -- like I said, I was the only thing there before that. When I tried the water that time, the NM spawned.

- I just noticed the same behavior. Right before I traded and he popped there were a couple mobs in the area whereas in the last 8 plus hours there was nothing there. --Ruben 19:19, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
It took me 9 waters to finally pop this, 8 hours. So if your going to do this i recommend patience. Luckily 100% drop, but you have to watch the clock or else someone can trade and you might lose your spawn.
