Since this seems to be the only page on the Internet that addresses these new trials in any form of detail, can someone verify the accuracy of this page?--Blue Donkey Kong (talk) 04:31, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

I can now verify the accuracy of the information on this page.--07:33, January 6, 2014 (UTC)

No need for VW[]

I started a new character and I wanted to get into this, but I saw the Guardian of the Void requirement as a brick wall. I completed the other requirements (STARTING Cait Sith (Mission), not finishing it. I completed the first 3 quests for the nation's storyline, thus completing Back to the Beginning) and I was able to enter Walk of Echoes. Nothing prevented me from taking one of the weapons from the splintered chest either. So I'm having very very serious doubts about that requirement for needing to finish Guardian of the Void and removed it until someone can confirm it is necessary. I have not done it on my main character either, and once I get the other reqs done I will be confirming it myself. Snowpaw (talk) 16:44, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

You can start and complete the trials without VW, but you'll need Guardian of the Void complete to make Kupofried appear when you examine the glowing target after obtaining your weapon. Here's Square-Enix's response about the issue: [1] --Blue Donkey Kong (talk) 21:23, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

That's what I still needed to test. Thanks for correcting me. I'll make sure my LS members know to re-check the page. This came up in LS chat and I told them what I found out. The way it's organized now looks much better, and it makes sure people don't confuse WoE access and trial access, with final WS cutscene. Snowpaw (talk) 21:28, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

Side Quest Category[]

Because of the unique nature of these trials, and because this page covers several trials at once that are prereqs for actual quests, I added the Side Quests category. But please don't add ordinary Magian Trial pages to Category:Side Quests! We don't need a repeat of what happened with their inclusion in Quests and Jeuno Quests. I think this article is a special case, and if people disagree, we can remove Category:Side Quests.--Blue Donkey Kong (talk) 17:02, February 2, 2014 (UTC)

Quest Limit[]

Unlocking a weapon skill can only be done once per game day. --vm0d (talk) 01:35, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

Other Notes[]

Once you've traded the required weapon and completed the quest you will need to zone out of Walk of Echoes for the Weapon Skill to show in your menu. Hope this saves someone a bit of aggravation. Quixacotl (talk) 22:20, April 22, 2014 (UTC)
