Killed this during the day with no TH, and got cloak and mask. Posting to see if the rumour is true or not about the earring dropping only at night. --Kazukas 12:10, 28 August 2007 (CDT)

I have killed Upyri twice now. One time it popped during the day (12:00), I claimed it, and it was very easy. I held it until nighttime to kill (18:00) because of the rumor about the earring dropping only at nighttime. Its attacks during nighttime did not seem to be greater or lesser than its attacks during daytime. The next time I claimed it during the nighttime (0:24) and it was very difficult, Upyri was certainly stronger. I kited it for about 9 game hours until the daytime and then killed it (9:04). And again, its attacks during the nighttime did not seem to be greater or lesser than its attacks during the daytime. Moreover, my attacks against it were no stronger during the day than during the night in both of above cases. I did not get the earring drop in either case. It is my theory that Upyri's overall strength varies with the time of day at which it pops or is claimed. For example, if its pop/claim occurs at 12:00 it is level 55-56. However it its pop/claim occurs at 1:00 it is level 70.
