In case the previous testimonies for curing affecting this cape were unclear, I decided to test it for myself. Healing magic skill 331 (with light arts), and MND 75+20 in gear. I had korin obi equipped in the waist slot and casted aurorastorm on myself (it was iceday, so no day benefits). With twilight cape equipped, I cured a Galka PLD with Cure IV for 501 HP and Cure I for 41 HP; without the twilight cape equipped (all other gear remained equipped and no backpiece was equipped in order to keep my MND stat constant), I cured the same Galka PLD with Cure IV for 479 HP and Cure I for 39 HP. Hopefully that makes it more clear. ^^ --[[User:Kimya5|Kimya5]] 20:16, August 28, 2011 (UTC)

When the page says increases the total bonus, is it additive or multiplicative? As in, is the bonus 15% or 15.5% (1.1*1.05)? --[[User:Tendo64|Badough]] 11:03, November 1, 2011 (UTC)

Latest revision as of 11:03, 1 November 2011

I tested the cape to see if it had an effect on Cure spells.

90RDM/45WHM +27% Cure potency. 82+24 MND (this changes to +20 MND when I substitute Twilight Cape in for Prism Cape). Healing Magic skill +10 (skill is uncapped at 301, which includes the aforementioned +10).

Cure IV without Twilight Cape: 505 ---- Cure IV with Twilight Cape 504

Cure IV without Twilight Cape, Lightsday bonus applied: 555 ---- Cure IV with Twilight Cape, Lightsday bonus applied: 554

I have not been able to test the cape in light weather yet. From what I have seen, I do not believe this cape affects the potency of Cure spells. Can anyone verify that the cape does, in fact, affect the potency of Cure spells, as is stated on the main page of this item as of the date of this post? --Bapidai 02:06, February 14, 2011 (UTC)

The cape straight up says elemental magic - cure magic is healing magic and therefore should not gain a bonus from this. --Jericho 01:08, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Right, so why is it on the main page? --Bapidai 07:19, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

This DOES affect cure spells, but only with day/weather bonus. You need to use Korin Obi with this for it to work properly unless you only want it to randomly enhance your cures. --Petey pab 13:04, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

Anyone know how this effects Helixes? I know they always receive the day/weather bonus, so obis are useless, but it seems like this would really pump them up 100% of the time. Anyone have experience with it? --Kravler 04:57, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
