Droprate
I obtained after about four hours of killing target page one mobs, had only level 1 casket discovery. Even though I obtained so quickly, I am almost certain the droprate is just as low as the Prouesse Ring. I was just lucky.
Finally obtained one of these after spending the past couple days (started farming this item last week) at the Shrine of Ru'Avitau spamming Page 1 and pummeling one Decorative Weapon after another. It took a good while to obtain this item, but it was worth it in the end with all the data I collected as well as a few unexpected drops (Percolator and Disruptor in particular). Just stick to the Decorative Weapons in the southern half of the Shrine's 2nd map and you'll get this item... eventually. --LordChocoSlime 03:52, May 29, 2012 (UTC)
i can second what the user above me posted. tried for 2RL days on and off. keep at it and eventually it will pop. managed to get it from a chest with 6 guesses, so dont discount those as chests that arent worth your time.
This area has a really low box drop rate. Even with Increased Treasure Casket Discovery Prowess level 5, I was only getting a box about 30% of the time, and only half of those were brown boxes. Also, it took me until I was getting capped experience for the training regime I was doing before I got the first level of Increased Treasure Casket Discovery; and, it seemed like I got a very high number of "You were unable to glean anything from your examination of the lock" messages.~Zazhi, sylph
Okay, this is my third trip out here. Third time capping merits, third time getting level 5 increased casket discovery. I have gone through 13 stacks of thief's tools. At some point, you've got to ask yourself: Is it worth it? Even my prouesse ring didn't cause me this much trouble. ~Zazhi, sylph
I finally got it! Third trip out, third time capping merits, third time getting level 5 increased casket discovery, two days after capping merits, one day after finishing off the 13th stack of thief's tools. It was in a box with 5 hints. I guessed on the 2nd hint and opened the box to find a manticore hair and my earring. If I never see another arcane weapon, it'll be too soon, lol! [~Zazhi, sylph
After getting Prouesse Ring and Liminus Earring both on first casket, I went about 100 brown caskets without ever getting Terminus Earring. Meanwhile got 320,000 exp and merits and a summerstone.
