Lu Shang's & Rogue Rig @ Whitebone Sands in Valkurm Dunes. My results were: Shall Shells 49%, Items/Jellyfish 35%, Monsters 15%, Bastore Sardine 1%, Nothing 0%. There were no Robber Rigs available, so I used what I had. The Rogue Rig didn't have a terrible bite rate, thank goodness. --Soraia 16:26, July 9, 2011 (UTC)

Caught several of these today using Halcyon Rod/Robber Rig + Fisherman's gear and Trainee's Specs @ Whitebone Sands in Valkurm Dunes. No luck at all on Siren Sands side. Fishing lvl 33. Robfire 15:52, June 7, 2010 (UTC)

You used to fish for these from the cliffs in Buburimu Peninsula, but an update removed them. Now you need to fish from the beach if you want to catch Shall Shells. I'm getting one from about 40% of casts. --Valyana 04:46, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

you can still catch them on the Cliff at H-10 in Buburimu Peninsula.XXxCalinaxXx 11:35, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

Are there only certain spots where you can catch these? I went to the beach on the east side and threw my line for 5 or 10 minutes with nothing but !!! (most likely monsters), then moved right up in front of the Labyrinth of Onzozo zone and started hooking them. Still very close to where I started, but I didn't catch any until I moved. Was I just having bad luck in the first place, or what? I've had similar things happen with trying to catch Dark Bass/Ogre Eel in Bastok Markets for skill (except I didn't ever find where to make them bite), and with Bastore Bream in Port Windurst (also never found where to make them bite). Am I just unlucky, or can you only catch certain fish in certain spots? I know it wasn't the bait I was using since I went through all of e suggested baits for the fish and could easily catch them in other locations with the same bait.--Erwing 17:14, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
