Re: Configuration 4: No enemy BLU enemies supposedly pop back at the start. However, a recent attempt abruptly ended in failure without any message while fighting the BLU enemies at the end. Half the Red team left at the start and encountered 6 BLU enemies en route, which matches the Configuration 4 description. We suspect some BLUs did pop at the start and kill the Hume NPC. Just a heads up to anyone else trying this. - Ooka 05:57, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

  • Another attempt tonight confirmed my speculation - same initial setup matching configuration 4, but a member waiting back at the start had 3 BLU enemies pop and attack the remaining NPCs. Edited Config.4 to reflect this, although there's some chance it could be an either-or situation, in which case there are more than 4 configurations. - Ooka 06:00, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Further woes with this: it may not be only Configuration 4. The same general situation happened on configuration 2 - abrubt loss with no message other than failure. Either mobs are popping back at the start and killing the hume, or the mission is considered a failure if either allied group of 3 is totally wiped out even if the Hume NPC is still standing. - Ooka 06:50, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Level 95: 1xDNC/NIN (me), 1xSMN, 1xBLU/NIN. The BLU and SMN distributed themselves to the the opposing general and where his minions would be. I stayed behind and talked to the NPC to trigger the battle. My NPC buddies and I took out the enemy forces at the starting point. While I was doing that, the SMN and BLU tried to Carby pull the general. That definitely did not work out. As it says, the range to pull is less than aggro range, so that was sort of a mess. The BLU fought the general and the SMN killed as many of the soldiers as he could before they both died due to being overwhelmed. I used Tandava Crackows and Chocobo Jig to get over there as quickly as I could and finished off the general. They had killed enough of the minions that I did not get aggro from them when I ran in.
