This attachment has a enmity penalty
No one has found out the enmity formula but there is a large amount added to the melee damage.

True or not, "penalty" isn't the right word. In many cases it would be beneficial (except when using sharpshot while DDing in an xp party in caedarva mire or bhaflau thickets). Tahngarthor 23:08, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
I have been testing this attachment while attached to a Soulsoother Frame and I have not noticed any drastic increase in enmity. The way that it enhances all attachments leads me to believe that some attachments, such as the attacker type one like Turbo Charger, Attuner, Tension Spring, etc, may have enmity modifiers of their own which are multiplied by having this attachment fitted at the same time.
Soloing Sea Puks as PUP/NIN I am having noticeably better results with this attachment than without, and I am not having any more trouble keeping hate from my automaton than I was without it equipped. It is a major help and I have observed noticeably higher spell frequency. However, it should be noted that I keep my automaton deployed at a distance to avoid allowing it to melee the mob.Resheph 23:33, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
The optic fiber no longer affects enmity. It was listed as a bug, and was fixed sometime around the introduction of the black and white puppets. I believe the bug only applied to the stealth screen and optic fiber combination, but it's impossible to tell now. Anyways, it's fixed now. --Nateypoo 16:40, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
I believe the Optic Fiber accounts for added MAB from Pantin Babouches and Optimization merits before adding it's percentage of MAB on top of it.
I did some testing and have that information on the PUP forums.
