Omega = Mnk?

When me and a few others went to go do CoP 6-4 today, we got to Omega, and he was able to counter our warrior twice and our samurai once. Seeing as counter is a MNK only trait, wouldn't that make him a MNK type enemy, or /mnk at least? --Fruitcake 19:24, 24 July 2007 (GMT)

It has no gender, so its not a Him/Her, Symanntics aside, just because a job counters does not make it specifically a mnk, in as much as just because a job intimidates does not make it a beastmaster. Counter is generally a MNK JT, however War get counter as do Sam. Plus extending this to job configurations we can use gear/food to gain additional effects/JTs such as counter. I think Omega's job is Omega, the concept behind the Omega and Ultima Machines in Final Fantasyverse has to be robotic super soldiers and they usually encompass a great deal of the existing classes as well as there own blend of uniqueness. So to answer you question, until SE comes out and says he its MNK or someone use Feral Drain and recieves "Job traits MNK" from it we can't safely assume that its /anything. WAR doesn't counter, WAR retaliates, which is different from an actual counter-attack. Anyway, when a mob is MNK it almost always attacks from two to three times (kick attack) if not more per turn. I don't think Omega is a MNK, I would say it's "jobless".

Omega Soul Plates

I got one soul plate off Omega last night. Darkness Damage +25. Rather nice. --Lordshadow 16:54, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
