the enchantment moogle's japery seems odd as japery translates to

Japery,

Function: verb.

Inflected Form(s): japed; jap·ing.

Etymology: Middle English.

Date: 14th century.

intransitive verb: to say or do something jokingly or mockingly.

transitive verb: to make mocking fun of. Redchaos 04:34, 13 September 2008 (UTC)

Considering Both Nomad Moogle Shield and Town Moogle Shield have the same exact stats, but different names, this indicates they most likely are Osaka fanfest, and USA fanfest items. Just like the Moogle Rod/ Moogle Cap(JP Osaka fanfest items) and Nomad Moogle Rod/ Nomad Cap(USA fanfest items).--Probablecaz 22:48, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Outside Cities[]

I ended up using it in Windurst (S) and it told me "No effect" while I had no food on. Going to try it with food. Fiye 22:20, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

I ate one Coeurl sub with Sanction (+Food duration) and used shield after. Food ended up lasting 2 hours + a few minutes. So, either it adds an hour, or it multiplies Food + Extend Food Duration on Sigil and Sanction. Fiye 01:09, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Ate a Fish Mithkabob with Signet on. Food lasted 1 hour before wearing off. Fiye 06:01, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Moogle Costume[]

I've tested how to turn into a moogle, it's not such a low chance as described, is what it is. If you are in a town(The only place you can use the shield to enhance movement speed) if you already have a movement speed icon active, (flee, or quickening). It won't overwrite, so instead turns you into a moogle.Probablecaz
