Reported to now drop Volunteer's Earring. --Jopasopa 15:00, 23 October 2006 (EDT)

Got it to 90% with NIN THF MNK WAR WHM BLM. The adds seem to only have partially shared hate with the NM. That is, you can generate enmity on them and they will come to you, but by attacking the main NM you will also generate enmity on the adds at a strongly accelerated rate. As such, the only possibility for this NM is to constaly kill the adds extremely quickly as they respawn. Our setup would have been ok with a little more damage dealing potential for the adds to take them down quicker. I would recommend at least 5 melees just for adds, and at least 2-3 people damaging the main NM. Perhaps

NIN WHM WAR MNK RDM (NM party) Melee x5 BRD (Add party)

With enough healing power and if MP can be kept up, it may be possible to focus only on the NM and let the adds keep beating on you while mages spam heals.

Soloed as 90 NIN/DNC, Good gear and Kannagi (85), took about 45 min to kill. Focused on the NM only, kept steps/debuffs on him, saved all TP when it used Chainspell for Curing Waltz. Normal attacks were doing roughly 10-15 each, 20-30 with aftermath. Blade: Hi was doing 150-250 dmg each. It ran out of MP after the 3rd chainspell. Just slowly widdled his HP down, ignoring the 2 adds, but I kept them debuffed with Blind/Para/Slow. 1/1 on Volunteer's Earring --Justinmx 11:37, August 7, 2011 (UTC)
