Shining Stars[]
I received 3 Shining Stars instead of the usual 2 when 2 of my critters were "beaming with pure contentment", and the other 2 were "practically bursting with joy". I received 4 Shining Stars when 3 were "beaming with pure contentment", and the other 1 was "practically bursting with joy". The message upon entering for the latter situation was: "A slight handful of light energies swirls about in your Mog Garden. The creatures you are rearing are somewhat at peace." I also received 1-3 items per each gathering attempt.
So, when a critter is "beaming with pure contentment", it has a chance to give you a star when you interact with it in a way that "strongly resonates" with it. My Great Adamantoise normally never gives more than the "surprisingly not worthless" 3 red hearts animation when I pet it, since that recommended interaction apparently can't normally make it "strongly resonate". But during the Mog Gardens Campaign, after petting, it gave the "strongly resonates" yellow notes animation (only while it was "beaming with pure contentment"). However, it still never gave me a star, maybe meaning a critter has to be able to normally strongly resonate (yellow notes animation) for it to give the star.
So, the Mog Gardens Campaign upgrades a critter's mood range above what it is normally limited to, just like it seems to add a +1 effect to every Mog Garden activity; there seems to be a numbered mood ratings system. Plus, if a critter normally has a chance to give you a star when you interact in a way that "strongly resonates" with it, during the campaign it will have a much greater chance for you to get a star.--Snorglepuss (talk) 00:01, August 29, 2018 (UTC)
