Someone forgot to mention this (and this needs fuller tested) but you can fish in your mog garden. I've only been fishing at the pond, and currently this is the best place, bar none, to catch moat carps. Not sure what else you can catch as you level up the nets/assistants. --Elizara (talk) 02:42, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

The net and dredger aren't related to what you can catch with a fishing rod. And yes, Mog Garden's pond is the absolute best place to fish up Moat Carps. A Halcyon Rod + Insect Ball can only catch moat carps here. You won't even hook any items. Unfortunately, if there's a "Goldilocks" combination to avoid hooking items so you can painlessly skill up fishing in Mog Garden's ocean, I'm not aware of it.--Blue Donkey Kong (talk) 07:25, July 30, 2013 (UTC)

What affects rank?

I'm wondering what affect the rank of each area in our Mog Gardens. While my Coast and Pond are at rank 6, my other three areas are still at rank 4. I just don't get it, as I tend everything equally. Also my Son's grove hit rank 5 and I'm not sure what he did to get it to rank 5. I know you need to do enough Coalition Assignments to use up 100 Coalition Imprimaturs to break rank 5. I know I'm well over 100 given both I'm rank 6 on two of the areas. --18:00, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

Key items purchased from Zenicca or Skipper Moogle increase rank. To make the next key item available, you have to harvest a certain number of times from the relevant gathering point. Furrows level up more slowly for some reason (meaning you must tend them more for the key items to be available).--Blue Donkey Kong (talk) 20:49, June 29, 2014 (UTC)
