I've been trying for a few weeks now to pull one of these up but I've never hooked one yet. I get lots of Gigant Octopus but not a single Matsya. Tried all different kinds of bait and lures but still get nothing. Anyone know which bait works best for these? Just trying to get some skill up during my trumpet shell farming days haha thx --Bekisa 20:13, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
- Grand-Blue Fishing Database has them as biting Dwarf Pugils and Drill Calamaryhere. I usually trust them as they are fairly up-to-date and accurate, as fishing DBs go. --Ctownwoody 15:53, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

- If you let it go right away, chances are what you had was a gigant octopus (which also gives the epic catch message) and not a Matsya. Maletarugilgamesh 16:25, October 16, 2011 (UTC)
