In order to MB between skillchains they must be at least Level2 skillchains. Magic Bursting on a L1 Skillchain will cancel the window for a following WS to chain. Llana 02:07, 21 September 2006 (EDT)
I am not sure exactly what you are trying to say. As far as I can tell, magic bursting has no effect on skillchain. I interpreted each sentence seperately.
First, "In order to MB between skillchains..."
Here is how I interpreted what you were saying:
No Burst performed: WS1----WS2-----SC#1---[Burst window]---WS3-----SC#2----- [Burst Window]
Are you trying to say that in order to magic burst at any time, they must be level 2 skillchains (ie there is no seperation between the two windows) OR (as suggested by the second sentence...)
If a burst is actually performed in the first window, then are you inferring WS3 will not create the second skillchain? (in the cast of level 1 skillchains) Can anybody confirm this? Another way to see this is "Can you double burst two level 1 skillchains?"
Again, I always thought magic bursts had no effect on the skillchain, but I could be wrong. Vivix 02:41, 21 September 2006 (EDT).
I believe what Llana said is false. You can certainly burst off a level 1 skillchain and then off a following level 2 skillchain. I don't think you are interferring anything, and skillchain 2 will still go off. You might not see an animation on your screen for various reasons, but the extra damage and ability to burst it is still there. --Ganiman 07:39, 21 September 2006 (EDT)
What I've seen from my playing with multiple toss-together groups just working on things, MBing on a Lv1 SC cuts off making a Lv1 -> Lv2 skillchain such as: WS1 -> WS2 = SC1(Lv1) =MB= WS3 (no SC formed) or: WS1 -> WS2 = SC1(Lv2) =MB= WS3 = SC2(Lv2+) =MB= or: WS1 -> WS2 = SC1(Lv1) WS3 (MB window closed) We tried it out a lot but that was a few months ago, I don't recall seeing any of the patches affecting SCs, but I'll retest this week and reply on this page, as well as a thread on the forums with results.
