Can you only have 2 of these at once (1 quested, 1 bought) or can you get 3 for completing all 3 zones and/or buy multiple one in the new zones? I haven't played with these previously, but interested now since I can get a bonus for all the missions I have done. ShadowKatze 15:59, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

tried to buy a 2nd one of these from npc and got this responce "Cruor Prospector : It appears you already possess that key item." Weedies 23:42, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Obtaining Third Lunar Abyssite[]

"Obtained by successful completion of SEVEN of the following quests"

Seven of Nine (Star Trek puns aside) seems somewhat arbitrary. A more likely(?) possibility is completing one boss from each of Scars/Visions/Heroes areas. (Note that defeating the six Visions/Scars bosses plus one Heroes boss conveniently equals seven.) Adding a verification tag to the page until someone confirms by either obtaining the abyssite with less than seven kills, or defeats a boss from each add-on *without* getting the abyssite. --Nupinu 18:45, December 9, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, first of all, this has all got to be speculation unless you site your source through official documentation posted by SE or you post a picture as proof. I'm not buying it at all. Secondly, if you want to sound credible and you can't prove either of the previous, why not post some information that would provide a walkthrough on how to acquire key items for fighting the new bosses? Absolutely correct, which is why I added the verification tag. --Nupinu 20:02, December 9, 2010 (UTC)
Dunno if this is proof enough but I got my third Lunar right after completing my 7th Abyssea quest; An Ulcerous Uragnite. Defeated Amphitrite at Abyssea - Grauberg, exitted the Maw and was awarded the Lunar Abyssite in a cutscene. Here's my screenshots: Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Quixacotl 05:09, December 12, 2010 (UTC)

Previous comment retracted; based on misunderstanding of how Abyssea quest rewards work. My bad. --Nupinu 21:09, December 9, 2010 (UTC)
