What I'm wondering is.... WHY would anyone do this quest?? throw away a 8-10k rod, on something that is not a prerequsite quest for anything, and only gives you 1500 gil back?? --Theferret 01:04, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

From the testimonials, this fish would appear to be a small fish, yet is catchable by both small fish and big fish rods. It does not seem to have a bait/lure preference either. Testimonials
- Much more often fished up on Watersday (needs additional confirmation).

- Easily soloable by WHM68/SMN34, but it's a long fight. Make sure to enfeeble it and Blink, Stoneskin, and Haste self.

- Fished up first try with Halcyon Rod and Minnow as day changed from Watersday to Windsday off the peer in Pergonorgo Island. Easy kill as 70 pld/nin. No cures, no shadows.
- 6 hours using a Composite Fishing Rod and Minnow and still no sign of this NM, did they remove it from the game? D:
