I've killed this a couple of times now with no drop. Both times we had 2 or 3 BST haul Ashakku out to where she popped, then pull her back to Lamia No.19's area for pet swaps. You need to kill the two Nix Songstress on the boat first, as they are True Sight. Then we just let pets fight while we stood far away.

It's best to kill Lamia No.19 before going to pull, or she might pop on top of you if someone dies. --Valyana 02:43, 29 December 2006 (EST)

I have killed this NM 9 times so far with either 3 SMNs or 4 SMNs, 4 is obviously better and sometimes with 3 you can sometimes die to an accidental Tidal Wave but it's very easy to just reraise and throw another avatar on her. Our SMNs usually used Fenrir's Eclipse Bite as it costs less MP to have Fenrir out and the BP only costs 106 MP and does virtually the same amount and sometimes better than Ramuh's Chaotic Strike. Chaotic Strike does well on her too though. Have your party wait on the cliff by the boat with the Nix Songstresses and have one person carby pull her to the rest of the group (relate to the Video posted on the Lamie No.9 page.) We never killed the Nix Songstresses we've either tried to run by them without aggro or just had someone aggro them both and sac as they will disappear. Yeah Drop Rate seems to be rather low on this NM we've only obtained 1 pair of gloves 1/9.

Strategies[]

  • Trio'd by 3 SMN with good equips with some difficulty.
  • Trio'd by 2 well equipped SMN and a RDM/BRD with some difficulty.
  • Solo'd as SMN90/RDM41 with little difficulty. Keep SS up, preferably Earthen Ward in case of Tidal Wave.
  • Create the maximum distance to re-summon. The cliff by the boat and the original spawn point work well.
