From what I've seen of this abyssite it grants you the chance of obtaining a higher quality box when you get the killshot. Killed a monster and got a box and then openned for 1250 exp. Immediately afterwards another box dropped of which I got the killshot and the box contained a small amount of curor. About 100. This to me suggests that the abyssite occasionally makes it so that you can get boxes which act as though you have azure. Xellith 13:58, January 5, 2011 (UTC)
