Revision as of 15:30, 27 July 2008

I'm in the process of getting all Nations to rank 10 (finished Sandy and Bastok so far). When I switched from Sandy to Bastok (Bastok was last in conquest) it did indeed cost me 4k. However when I switched from Bastok to Windy (Windy second in conquest) it cost me 12k. The wiki said 16k, so I've changed all the allegiance changer pricings for second place, but I'm wondering if the price is dependant on other factors, such as the nation you're switching from, or the number of regions controlled, etc. Chernabog 07:08, 18 July 2006 (EDT)

Its certainly possible, but no one really changes nations often enough (and records the price) to really discover this. Pretty much the most useful piece of info is that its cheapest when the nation is in last, and most expensive when they're in first. --Chrisjander 09:37, 18 July 2006 (EDT)

Odin currently has this conquest ranking: Bastok 1st, Windurst 2nd, San d'Oria 3rd. My friend went to change from Sandy->Windy and was given a price of 40k, even though the nation she was switching to was 2nd. So chances are the rank of your nation matters, not the nation you're switching to - i.e. are you moving up or down in the ranking? --Trauts 22:14, 2 June 2007 (CDT)

Odin's conquest tally just went by. Now Windurst is first, San d'Oria second, Bastok third. Perhaps this is based on the *next week*'s tally? As in, who seems like they'll be in First next. --Trauts 19:57, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

Changing Nation Correction

The remark about changing nation at Rank 5 or below is incorrect, in my experience. I was Rank 4 in Bastok, and switched to Windurst. Bastok was first, Windy second. Cost me 12000 gil, but I was able to do it fine. I'm removing that mention from the page for now. Duminas 05:05, 18 July 2007 (CDT)

I re-added but removed the "or below" clause. The storyline for all nations explains why you cannot leave your nation at rank 5. I have easily changed nations right before flagging the 2-3 missions. Ahkvan 00:44, 20 August 2007 (CDT)

prices

Cost to change Allegiance when the new nation is in:
1st Place in Conquest - 40,000g
2nd Place in Conquest - 12,000g
3rd Place in Conquest - 4,000g

Rank 3 character in all nations.

Change from Windurst to Bastok, Windurst in 1st, Bastok in 3rd: 4,000g

Change from Bastok to San d'Orea, Bastok in 1st, San d'Orea in second: 12,000g

Change from San d'Orea to Windurst, San d'Orea in 1st, Windurst in 3rd: 12,000g...Wth? --1.quos.vita.habitum.captivus 07:56, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

Update: noticed afterword that conquest items that windy is only supposed to have when in 2nd or 1st are available, even though windy is in dead last. And there is no alliance this week. Seems windy conquest placement is bugged. --1.quos.vita.habitum.captivus 07:04, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

rank 5 note

"If you are Rank 5 in any nation, even if you do not have an
active mission, you will not be able to change allegiances.
Instead, you will be told your nation is in trouble and your
 application can not be accepted."

Not entirely an accurate statement. http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/index.php?title=Talk:Windurst_Mission_4-1&section=1 I'm still uncertain exactly which dialog unlocks being able to switch again (since I haven't done it myself, and my friend didn't write down which NPC is was) so I'm unable to update the article(s) myself. --1.quos.vita.habitum.captivus 04:27, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

"This is not applicable if you were just promoted to rank 5 and
immediately attempt to change nations, though it may very well
hold true if attempting to change nations in between 5-1 and
5-2."

Still not quite right. If you get rank 5 and go directly to the Allegiance Changer you won't be able to change. Theres an NPC dialog in the home nation that must be triggered after the missions end but without starting the next. --1.quos.vita.habitum.captivus 11:18, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Mog House

I'm concidering changing my alliegence from Sandy to Windy for the Rank 8 Enfeebling item for my RDM. My only concern is what happens with funishings and storage? Are all of your furnishings placed in your new nation exactally how they were in your old one? Or do the furnishings get removed and put back into inventory? I have 80/80 in my storage and no space to remove. Hehe. Natsuchii 14:51, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Moves your items to exact same placement in the new mog house location. --1.quos.vita.habitum.captivus 00:45, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Outpost

i'm still not clear about this outpost stuff, my question is : can i change nation, get the outpost i need then change back to my original nation and keep the new outpost? thanks in advance VC-Hijikata 14:53, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

The outposts you have are 'stored' with your previous allegiance.

If you're San d'Orian and get Ronfaure, Zulkheim, and Norvallen outposts, then later change to Windurst and get Sarutabaruta outpost, that's the only outpost you'll have access to. If you switch back to San d'Oria, you'll have access to the original three, but not Sarutabaruta. --Taeria 21:24, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

i see , thx a lot for clearing that up for me, thats too bad though ^^ VC-Hijikata 17:25, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Requested Move

Support Move: The title of this article should probably be changed to "Immigration NPC", seeing as that's how the map marker NPC identifies them. Going with the name they are officially given in-game seems like the best choice. –FFXI-Anson 00:01, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
