Enmity under cap after update: The Enmity +2 effect has been verified to persist at level 55. It is most likely comparing against Parade Cuirass, in which case it would probably persist down to 50.
Tested by Kamiel (PLD63/RDM31), Armando (PLD75/RDM37), and Koren (WHM55/BLM27). Level sync applied to Koren. Target in all tests: Bumblebee in West Sarutabaruta. No Enmity gear used except for Parade Cuirass and Gallant Surcoat. In all tests, Bumblebee never hit for more than 0 damage.
Test 1: Kamiel wore Gallant Surcoat. Armando wore Federation Aketon. Koren pulled with Paralyze (1CE/320VE). Armando cast Sleep (320CE/240VE), followed by Kamiel. When target awoke and attacked Kamiel, Armando cast Cure (1CE/0VE) on himself for 0 HP six times before Bumblebee changed targets.
Test 2: Kamiel wore Parade Cuirass. Armando wore Federation Aketon. Koren pulled with Paralyze. Armando cast Sleep, followed by Kamiel. When target awoke and attacted Kamiel, Armando cast Cure on himself for 0 HP six times before Bumblebee changed targets.
320 * 1.02 = 326.4
This was then immediately retested with altered methodology:
Test 3: Kamiel wore Parade Cuirass. Armando wore Gallant Surcoat. Koren pulled with Paralyze, Kamiel cast Sleep followed by Armando. Armando cast Cure on himself. Target attacked Armando upon waking.
Test 4: Kamiel wore Parade Cuirass. Armando wore Gallant Surcoat. Koren pulled with Paralyze, Kamiel cast Sleep followed by Armando. Kamiel cast Cure on himself. Target attacked Kamiel upon waking.
This is good news for those who like to keep cap gear for things like assaults, assuming it holds true at 50 (sadly, didn't have any jobs exactly at 50 to test with). Credit and thanks for the enmity values cited go to Kaeko. --Lunaryn 07:57, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
