Notes[]

I've noticed that these bombs in particular have a very high Magic Defense Bonus. It is so powerful I have seen them resist Dispel and a great many other spells. I was RDM/WHM with around 307 Enfeebling Magic at the time, and when I saw Dispel resisted it was on a Decent Challenge Friar's Lantern.

I am not sure if it's specific only to bombs that grow in size, but the NM Big Bomb certainly possesses a higher Magic Defense Bonus. I know they have elemental resistances of 50% for everything but Fire, but it's certainly noticeable on these particular Bombs. They share this trait with the Logi in Einherjar (which also grow in size). They resist Sleep etc. heavily. -- Orubicon 16:48, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

The 1-2% drop rate on the flask seems to be very inaccurate. I have killed Big Bomb about 20-25 times and can usually get a flask every 10-16 kills. --Lilwoody 04:18, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

The drop rate on the Smoky Flask seems to be heavily influenced by treasure hunter. I killed approximately 50 bombs without TH and did not receive one flask. I then recorded the drop rate of the Smoky Flask from 100 bombs all killed with TH1, the drop rate was 7%. I also found that bombs that drop the Smoky Flask do not drop bomb arms and you cannot steal bomb arms from them. Therefore, I deleted the previous recorded drop rate of the Smoky Flask from this page because it was inaccurate. --Lilwoody 17:23, 29 July 2009 (UTC) Added an additional 70 kills to the drop rate, for a total of 170 kills, all were killed with TH1.--Lilwoody 20:01, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
