Comparing to Nyx Gorget, which has been found to have a latent active while Arcane Circle is in effect, I would speculate that this item's latent is also triggered by a Job Ability — probably Sneak Attack, Trick Attack, or even Saber Dance or Fan Dance. Latent Testing

After some simple tests on lv1 mobs, the latent is neither red HP, nor poisoned (both under 100TP) If people also post what they've tested we can see what's left. --Noodles355 21:13, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

Latent?

IF anyone comes across this may want to test it while under the effects of "Finishing Moves" from DNC or /DNC. On top of that may also want to test (If first test proves positive) if the number of Finishing moves determines the bonus to Crit DMG. - User:Karbuncle

Another possible way to trigger this could be either someone is dead in your party or you've recently just killed something. - User:Mizuharu

Active during weaponskill would be cool, it would replace the Warwolf for those ws based on criticals (Blade: Jin, Thf' weaponskills)

My guess is similar to other such ridiculously situational items: <=25% HP, >=100% TP. But /shrug. --Eremes 01:45, April 15, 2010 (UTC)

I would say it kicks in while beeing poisoned since it comes from a Scorpion and poison can be fatal. I would test this but my THF is only 74. --Gomjabbar 15:09, April 21, 2010 (UTC)

Seeing as how the NM for this belt likes to use Mighty Strikes, has anyone considered testing that maybe the latent triggers when a WAR in your party is under the effect of Mighty Strikes? Just a complete shot in the dark but, I think it could be worth testing if no one has yet. RedDragon08 19:12, June 25, 2010 (UTC)
