It seems that Para will replicate when it uses Queasyshroom. I had to fight 3 incarnations of it before I was lucky enough to finish off with a WS before it replicated. It never used Queasyshroom other than when it replicated, and other TP moves when under 50% HP did not cause a replication. --User:AndyWanKenobi 2007-01-25 16:59 CST
- Same here, but it actually used WS on the third incarnation for me but didn't replicate. I believe that it can't reincarnate more than 3 times.--Poof 02:21, 5 August 2007 (CDT)
- I killed the original, and I'm pretty sure I wound up zoning with 4 on my tail >.>; So I'm not sure the 3-limit is correct; perhaps the OPs got lucky and it did not use the shroom moves?--milkdemcows 15:24, 16 September 2007 (CDT)
- I fought it with my staff as SMN, with my friend a WHM. We didn't have much damage output going. In all, we killed 10 Paras. At no point during the very long fight were there more than 3 out. The original died early on, but its duplicates kept replicating as well. -- Ruu 04:35, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
-- Duo'd this with SAM/THF and RDM/WHM. Killed in about 10-15 seconds. Mob used TP move near the end but no replications. Denaunie 16:55, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Requirements?[]
I'm on CoP 4.3 (undertaken, not completed) and I've completed all the prequests, and I still can't obtain this quest. Despachiaire just say me: "The nation of Jeuno has offered its hand to help lift up the ailing Tavnazia. None of this would have been possible were it not for the kindness of Sir Nag'molada." --Sidd [Ragnarok] 09:23, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Obtained at the end of CoP 4.3 - Maybe you do not have to be on a CoP mission. --Sidd [Ragnarok] 22:07, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Not sure if it applies to this, but I had talked to Despachiaire many times and never gotten the quest. However, right after I finished Over the Hills and Far Away, Despachiaire gave me the quest the next time I talked to him. Augiezwan 23:07, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
I've completed Over the Hills and Far Away (as well as Secrets of Ovens Lost), but he won't give me the quest. He says:
- "I realize that back on the mainland, no one has the time to wonder about the fates of their lost brothers. However, I pray that the powers that led you to Tavnazia turn out to be a blessing for both our peoples."
In the CoP mission sequence, I'm currently on The Road Forks (3.3), so maybe that needs to be completed first. -Betanie (talk) 17:08, December 14, 2013 (UTC)
