I removed the verification tag on the Lu Shang's part because I was able to pull a few in after multiple line breaks. Pretty sure it would break a Lu though if you fished long enough, they are really hard to pull in. --Talila 17:07, December 5, 2010 (UTC)
I put a verification tag next to "Will Possibly Break:", as after 18 successful pulls with a Lu Shang's, I've yet to see a break. I will try fishing this more over the next few days to see if I can narrow down a conclusion. --Finbar 07:10, December 15, 2010 (UTC)
I have caught about 10 of these with Ebisu Fishing Rod and not had a single one break my line. Possible that it will never happen. Probably more testing coming, at least until i get that ring. Fishing skill 95.5 for the record Maletarugilgamesh 23:43, January 9, 2011 (UTC).

- Fished with Ebisu Fishing Rod with Minnow Lure and caught one of these within 3 minutes. I have also read you can use Meatball but I cant verify this myself. I do not know if you can catch with a Lu Shang's Fishing Rod so I put a verification tag by it.
- Confirmed, you can catch with meatballs.
- Confirmed catches on ! bites. Breaks line of Lu Shang's Fishing Rod.
- Confirmed you can pull them in with a Lu Shang's Fishing Rod after many line breaks.
- Ebisu Fishing Rod with Meatball seems to isolate Crocodilos completely, after about 100 casts, the only thing that bit that wasn't a monster or a Rusty Weapon were Crocodilos. Minnows seem to hook Giant Catfish 80% of the time. --InspectorGadget (talk) 09:57, July 18, 2012 (UTC).

- I just started fishing these, 100+4(equip)(+1 moghancement)(Ebisu) Fishing skill, 5/5 Lost due to lack of skill. Apparently these are very hard to pull in, or I'm getting incredibly unlucky. Fishing these for a friend with skill 109 and got a skill up. Changed from 103 to 110+ as i'm still getting lost due to lack of skill and line breaks. Added info to Expert (101-110) page.

Seem lucky to bag 5-7 of these in a hour using Meatball + Lu Shang's Fishing Rod @ 100+5 fishing skill. Mostly lost due to skill or line breaks.Beciant (talk)
