Does this hat increase the DMG or the effect of each card?

Quick Draw Enhancement[]

This page says it increases the damage by 10, the page with the whole AF listed, says it's 40. Obviously one of these pages is wrong and I am hoping it's this one.--Lionix 11:07, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Quick Draw Formula[]

I cleaned up the formula to give proper results in damage. AF hat only adds 10~13 damage at the end of the equation not to the base gun/bullet area. I did some testing on low level Huge Hornets and I'm getting a 13 damage difference instead of the 10 I was getting on Robber Crabs.

Unresisted tests on bees in Rolan show the proper pre-staff/day portion of the formula to be:

[2*(Gun DMG + Bullet DMG) + Tricorne bonus]*(1+MAB%)

Test setup:

  • No staff
  • Non weak/strong day
  • No weather
  • Corsair's Gun (41 dmg)
  • Steel Bullets (70 dmg)
  • Ugg pendant, activated (+8 MAB)
  • Moldy earring (+5 MAB)
  • /BLM (+24 MAB)

Test results:

Setup Damage seen Calc'd using formula above Calc'd using the old formula
/BLM + Tricorne + Ugg + Moldy 317 [2*(41+70)+10]*1.37 = 317.84 (consistent) [2*(41+70)]*1.37 + 10 = 314.14 (3 damage off)
/BLM + Tricorne + No Ugg + Moldy 299 [2*(41+70)+10]*1.29 = 299.28 (consistent) [2*(41+70)]*1.29 + 10 = 296.38 (3 damage off)
/BLM + Tricorne + No Ugg + No Moldy 287 [2*(41+70)+10]*1.24 = 287.68 (consistent) [2*(41+70)]*1.24 + 10 = 285.28 (2 damage off)

Given these results, it shows the Tricorne to receive the effect from MAB modifications, so I'm updating the formula to reflect this. --Thanacus 06:10, February 7, 2010 (UTC)
