I believe he, or LK, spawns once a moon phase, normally every 18-30 hours or so, but possibly less on rare occasions. I have seen spawns at less than 18 hours and more than 30 hours, but never more than once a moon phase. This is based on about 2 months of dedicated camping, approximately 20 spawns witnessed first-hand, and 3/6 on drops (Peacock Charm, before the update).

The mythological information is wrong. Io wasn't transformed into a cow as punishment from Hera, but as protection from her by Zeus. Hera then had Argus watch over that cow so that Zeus couldn't approach it. Correct me if I'm wrong, and correct the page if I'm not. Nartosar 03:47, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Its not even 100% spawn or 100% drop and you may not see it for 90 hours ><

After camping him for a week straight, I came to the conclusion that the Protozoan is the key to either Argus or Leech King spawning. When it was in the "bone cage", Argus spawned and when it was freely moving around Leech King did. This might be a bit pushed, but I can see it corresponding with Argus' Historical Background; supposedly a Guardian, when the Protozoan is in the cage he's doing his job... and appears. I understand this can't be added to the main page though, it needs confirmation by others. But if ever you're gonna try get the Amulet, kill the Protozoan until he spawns in the cage ^^. I'm correcting the page to show a 30+ hour respawn. I killed the Leech king, took down exact ToD, came back 17 hours later. I had my fiance at the Leech King spawn watching and I was at Argus... The 30 hour mark hits, we've accumulated two more friends to help, but not one of us saw a spawn or kill. The 30 hour maximum respawn time is incorrect or the 18 hour minimum respawn is, as there is NO other way we would have not seen it.

Totally random spawn times, as well as either LK or Argus spawning. When I was there for a 9 day period, the spawns were as follows. Argus, LK, LK, Argus, Argus, LK, Argus, LK, Argus. Which is, roughly 50%. Totally worth trying to camp for a PCA. I've spent 2~3 weeks in the Maze, more recently 9 straight days. Once you get the PCA, it's like farming 1.6M in the time you spent :P If LK drops, that's a bonus too. Good luck! Kisukesama 09:29, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Kisukesama

I'm correcting the myth on the Protozoan. I came across Argus spawning while the protozoan was roaming freely in the room. No one was around and Argus was in the smaller room through the hallway. 12:27am (EST) August 29, 2008

Here is raw data I have on camping Argus for 6 days straight, monopolizing all LK and Argus pops. So far, the "once a moonphase" theory is holding into effect, Leech King always popped in place of Argus if it was still on the same phase (for two of my pops). All kills with TH3

Has it ever been tested to see if they aren't really dependent on each other? But both spawn once per moon phase like stated above, as it's more then 30 hours to get from full to new moon and new to full moon Flinx0 11:57, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
