Tales' Beginning

Introduced with the July 2023 Version Update, this set of placeholder missions lets adventurers opt out of previously compulsory introductory cutscenes that kick off the following mission lines:

Affected Storylines

• Rise of the Zilart Missions
• Chains of Promathia Missions
• A Crystalline Prophecy Missions
• A Shantotto Ascension Missions
• Seekers of Adoulin Missions
• Rhapsodies of Vana'diel Missions

Adventurers are given the option to start the cutscene, or do so at a later time. Delaying records a placeholder mission in your Missions list, requiring you interact with a corresponding "Tales' Beginning" Point of Interest to start the mission line, and they won't be shown the opening cutscene again until they choose to do so.

Interacting with a Tales' Beginning and choosing to view the cutscene plays it and records the corresponding starting mission in your log.
