Notes (Konschtat Highlands)

  • Respawn Time is approximately every 21-24 hours (Earth time).
  • Quite often pops 30 minutes BEFORE Rampaging Ram which even this happening once proves he is lottery of the Tremors, AND Rampaging.
  • Aggressive to level 75 characters.
  • Uses all Ram special attacks, Draw In, and Mighty Strikes, which can be used multiple times.
  • Can be defeated by a party of four characters at level 64, two characters at level 68, or two Beastmasters at level 60; Soloable by Thief at level 65, Summoner at level 71, and most jobs at level 75. (see testimonials)
  • Uses Rage towards end of fight. Confirmed as of 4-11-09
  • Confirm it again, he doesn't rage at the end of fight no monster does. He rages after being held for a certain amount of time, with most HNMs it is around 20 minutes.

Notes (Nyzul Isle)

Historical Background

Both Bloodtear Baldurf and Steelfleece Baldarich appear to have names in honor of the Baldr, the Norse (Viking) god of light, beauty, and innocence. The fact that the Viking Shield drops from both is further evidence of this possible correlation. Baldarich is an older variation of the more common: Baldric, both of which share it's origins with Baldr.

A further, and probably more likely, possibility is that Baldarich is a variation of baudrick or baldrick. A baldrick is a girdle, or richly ornamented belt, worn pendent from one shoulder across the breast and under the opposite arm.
