- Lottery Spawn from the Rampaging Ram and/or Tremor Rams.
- Spawns anywhere in the area spanning from (H-6) to (I-8), between the west side of the Crag of Dem and the mountain at left-center of the map.
- Respawn Time is approximately every 21-24 hours (Earth time).
- Quite often spawns 30 minutes before or after the Rampaging Ram.
- Uses all the Ram special attacks in additional to Draw In, Rage (Ram), and Mighty Strikes, which can be used multiple times.
- Aggressive towards characters at any level.
- Can be defeated by a party of four characters at level 64, two characters at level 68, or two Beastmasters at level 60. Soloable by Thief at level 65, Summoner at level 71, Beastmaster at level 70, and most jobs at level 75. (see testimonials)
Notes (Nyzul Isle)[]
- The Armoury Crate it leaves behind contains a ??? Shield, which may rarely appraise into a Viking Shield.
Historical Background[]
Both Bloodtear Baldurf and Steelfleece Baldarich appear to have names in honor of the Baldr, the Norse (Viking) god of light, beauty, and innocence. The fact that the Viking Shield drops from both is further evidence of this possible correlation. Baldarich is an older variation of the more common: Baldric, both of which share its origins with Baldr.
A further, and probably more likely, possibility is that Baldarich is a variation of baudrick or baldrick. A baldrick is a girdle, or richly ornamented belt, worn pendent from one shoulder across the breast and under the opposite arm.
