Historical Background

Skuld means "debt" or "future". In Norse mythology, Skuld governed the fates of the people as one of a trio of Norns. Fellow pixies Verthandi and Urd take their names from the other two Norns. These names were popularized in recent times by the on-going manga series, Aa! Megami-Sama or Oh! My Goddess, used as names for the 3 Goddess sisters.
