The Blaze Spikes effect must be activated, unlike the Volt Gun's Enthunder effect. It is similar to Shock Absorber and Flashbulb in that it activates like a job ability and has a recast timer. The spike effect activates on every hit, like standard spikes. Spike damage is based on the normal spike damage calculation. As of the December 2011 version update, Blaze Spike damage can reach as high as 50-63 per hit at level 99 on a non-resistant even match enemy.
