Notes:[]

  • Located at (I-5)-(H-6) with a 10 min - 30 min repop time.
  • Deals around 600 DMG against 73VIT 260Def per hit.
  • Uses a move called "Gorge" that drains HP from everyone in range of it then uses it to attack people with hate by using "Disgorge"
  • Gorge's damage can be reduced by having other players in range when the TP move goes off, similar to 1000 Needles or Discoid. Damage is divided among all targets in range, so a 2500 damage Gorge is lethal to a single person while manageable with two or three people in range.
  • Furthermore, Gorge seems to grow more powerful as the fight goes on. Damage at the start of a fight totals about 800-1000 damage. By 20%, it can do upwards of 2000.
  • Can avoid "Disgorge" by moving behind the worm. Probably easier to tank it on its tail for the most part.
  • Susceptible to - Blind, Paralyze, Poison
  • Seems immune to - Slow, Bind, Gravity
  • Enhanced movement speed.
  • As with other Sandworms, can use Extreme Purgation - AoE status-effect draining all abilities and buffs from everyone in range including 2h abilities. Some effects, such as Counterstance and Hundred Fists can be devastating.
  • Extreme Purgation will not drain HP/MP, food effects, or Attribute bonuses purchased with Cruor from a Cruor Prospector when entering the zone.
  • Can use all regular Sandworm abilities, including Desiccation.

Historical Background[]

The minhocão ("big earthworm" in Portuguese) is a large earthworm-like cryptid that allegedly exists in the forests of South America.

  • Cryptozoologist Karl Shuker has suggested that this animal may be an example of a giant caecilian, which fits the description of the minhocão well. However, known caecilians do not even approach the supposed size of this animal. In On the Track of Unknown Animals, Bernard Heuvelmans suggests that the animal may be a surviving glyptodont.
