Exemplar points are lost upon character death, and master levels will decrease if the loss of exemplar points exceeds their current progress into the current master level.
- Players who are KO'd in the A.M.A.N. Trove Battlefield will not lose exemplar points.
- As of the August 2022 Version Update, exemplar points are no longer gained or lost in Ambuscade battlefields.
Most bonuses to capacity or experience point gains are not applied to exemplar points. Corsair's Roll will apply a bonus.
Master chains apply bonus exemplar points when monsters that reward exemplar points are killed in rapid succession.
Apex foes are particularly valuable targets as they provide much more exemplar points than non-apex foes. The stronger the foe, the more exemplar points earned.
