Notes:

  • Lottery Spawn from the Rock Lizards around South Gustaberg E-8 - F-8. Can spawn anywhere from 5 minutes to 8 hours after last Leaping Lizzy spawn. Normal respawn is 90 minutes.
  • This NM is a true lottery pop and can spawn any time the placeholder is due to repop.
  • There are two separate placeholder Rock Lizards, each one capable of spawning Leaping Lizzy on their respective side of the pillar.
  • The respawn time for individual Rock Lizards is 2:10 (Vana'diel time), or 5 minutes real time.
  • Killable by: Solo at level 10-15 depending on job. Monk Soloable at 8 with Hundred Fists.
  • To find the placeholder, pull up Wide Scan and you will see there is a group of five Rock Lizards to the east of the large pillar, a group of five Rock Lizards to the west of the large pillar, and a third group that has no relation to Leaping Lizzy. Each group is grouped together on Wide Scan. The bottom lizards in either group listing are the placeholders.
  • it IS possible for LL to pop as a 6th lizard in either of the first 2 groups of 5 when its PH is due to repop have personally seen it do this twice first time was on 1/10/09 might be a recent change.
  • Nyzul Isle: The Armoury Crate it leaves behind contains a ??? Footwear, which may rarely appraise into Bounding Boots.

Historical Background

The name Leaping Lizzy is a reference to the famous phrase "Leaping lizards!" The phrase seems to have its origin in 1930's era comic books where it was often used by sidekicks and other friends of the hero. The phrase was famously used by 'Little Orphan Annie'.
