Being a Lottery Spawn, it could take anywhere from 5 minutes to several hours for Leaping Lizzy to spawn.
The estimated spawn time for Leaping Lizzy spawning off a PH is estimated at roughly (9.4%). This is calculated using only the two PHs for Leaping Lizzy.
To find the placeholder in Wide Scan, look for a group of five Rock Lizards to the east, and a group of five Rock Lizards to the west of the large pillar. There is also a third group that has no relation to Leaping Lizzy, located a good distance to the northwest, so ignore these. The bottom lizards in the eastern and western groups are the placeholders.
The respawn of Rock Lizards is 2:10 hours (Vana'diel time), or 5 minutes Earth time.
Once Leaping Lizzy is defeated, the next placeholder can spawn between 5 Minutes - 15 Minutes Earth Time, 2:10 Hours - 6:30 Hours (Vana'diel Time).
Leaping Lizzy can spawn 5 minutes after death

Leaping Lizzy is often easy to spot due to its slightly larger form compared to the regular Rock Lizards.
Petrify can prove to be quite troublesome at low levels. Be prepared for this and bring a Potion or two just in case, as there is no set time limit as to how long Petrify will last for.
Killable solo at level 10-15 with varying difficulty depending on job. (see testimonials)
Please note that one experience accounts for an improved drop rate if your character level is below 20 at the time of slaying this NM. If even so much as one person in your party is above 20 the drop rate will be terrible. --Waterdust (talk) 15:21, September 1, 2012 (UTC)
The name Leaping Lizzy is a reference to the famous phrase "Leaping lizards!" The phrase seems to have its origin in 1930's era comic books where it was often used by sidekicks and other friends of the hero. The phrase was famously used by 'Little Orphan Annie'.
