Notes:

  • Found in Ghoyu's Reverie, Everbloom Hollow, or Ruhotz Silvermines as a result of being warped there via the Doomvoid ability, used by a Sandworm.
  • Like all other Doomvoid encounters, this is a timed, 60 minute battle.
  • Uses a textless ability (denoted by the Doomvoid animation) which shields Lambton Worm, causing any damage dealt to instead recover him for a huge multiple. A nuke which would normally do 1000 damage was seen to heal for nearly 20,000 damage following the shield.
  • Five seconds after the animation has been used, all alliance members on the hate list will be drawn-in.
  • Will only draw in those on his "hate list". If you die and re-raise, you can safely heal out of area without being drawn-in.
  • After the alliance is drawn-in, the shield will be lifted.
  • Has ~80,000 HP
  • Drawn in approximately every 1:45-2:00 mins. Can be as early as 1:00 and as late as 2:15mins.
  • Aero spells work best, sometimes better than skillchains designed to MB off wind.
  • Possible to kill with 7 skilled players, but time may run short depending on damage and strategy.

Historical Background[]

The Lambton Worm is a legend from Northumberland, England, about a giant worm or dragon that terrorized villages along the river Wear. It was a small, strange creature fished up by a young man named Lambton who skipped church that Sunday morning to fish, who finding it unfit to eat, threw it in an old well. Eventually, while Lambton was off fighting in the Crusades, the worm grew large and emerged from the well, preying on livestock, and would coil around a large hill ("Worm's Hill"). The Lambton Worm was finally defeated by Lambton when he returned from the Crusades, shocked by the devastation wrought by the creature. He had an armorer fashion armor made of spikes and blades (resembling a hedgehog). The Lambton Worm tried to crush the man but due to his armor, the creature impaled itself on his armor, leading to the its demise.
