Damage Per Second: Based on Hand-to-Hand skill

  • The enhancement to Martial Arts simply gives another tier of Martial Arts which is equal to another -20 delay without TP penalty.
  • The Overload suppression is not absolute, but it is extremely difficult to Overload with the weapon equipped. Up to 15 consecutive, identical maneuvers can be spammed every 10 seconds without an Overload. This largely enhances the usage of Flame Holder and Ice Maker attachments as well as freely doubling up on any particular maneuver to achieve a desired effect. Tripling Maneuvers also bears little consequence if done responsibly.
  • The Aftermath effect lasts 180 seconds for both the master and automaton at levels 1 and 2, and 120 seconds for both the master and automaton at level 3. How much Accuracy gained is based on how much TP between 100-199% that the master has, and how much the attack gained is based on the amount of TP between 200 and 299.
  • The level 3 Aftermath has an extremely high process rate of around 50%, however, it only processes as one hit per attack round. In otherwords, providing that the Puppetmaster has no Double Attack such as that from Brutal Earring and Warrior support job, or Kick Attacks from Bahamut's Hose, they will only get a max of three hits per attack round. It cannot process on each fist such as Double Attack.

Historical Information

Kenkonken

The very devices that claimed the eye of Balrahn, these ringed fist weapons are said to have been donned by the minion of an evil puppeteer. A vivid and detailed retelling of this encounter came to have a most profound effect upon an impressionable Jalzahn.

On Earth; Kenkonken most definitely refers to a Chakram of great power wielded in Taoist mythology. The Japanese Wikipedia article[1] citing the weapon needs further translation for complete historical information.

Speculation

Additionally, the Kenkonken may be a reference to the Martial Arts style Sorinjiryu Kenkokan Karate, a unique blend of Okinawan kobudo and Shorinji Ryū Karate, Japanese aikijujutsu, judo, kenjutsu, and Chinese bājíquán. This particular martial arts style innovated the Karate style by allowing its students to train fully with weapons and protective equipment to test their techniques without having to hold back.
