Notes (Bibiki Bay)

  • Has one placeholder Eft, which will respawn every 5 minutes. Normally Intulo does not spawn until an hour after his previous death, but has been camped for 5+ hours with no spawn.
  • Placeholder can be found wandering anywhere around the dock area.
  • On Widescan the placeholder is found separate from the main group of Eft. Placeholder is the only Eft between three Raven and the two Marine Dhalmel on Widescan
  • If you don't have Widescan, you can find the placeholder by this method:
  • If there is an Eft immediately next to the top of the ramp or on the ramp itself, then you've found the placeholder.
  • If there are 3 Efts wandering on the docks (the wooden bridges that make a square formation), kill all of them and wait 5 minutes for them to respawn. Repeat this until only two spawn on the docks. The Eft that doesn't spawn on the dock is the placeholder.
  • Else kill all Efts that are not on the docks. Repeat until an Eft spawns on the dock. That is the placeholder.
  • Proceed to keep track of its spawn time so that you don't lose track of it.
  • Intulo always spawns on the base of the ramp or the ramp itself.
  • Seems to have a strong resistance to all magic except fire.
  • Toxic Spit can inflict a Poison that deals 11 HP/tick.
  • Killable by: Solo at level 60+, 50+ with certain job combinations. (see testimonials)
  • Involved in the Trial of the Magians line of quests: Trial 71, Trial 285 and Trial 433. Must be killed 4 times to complete the trial.

Notes (Nyzul Isle)

Historical Background

In Zulu mythology, Intulo is a lizard-like creature with humanoid characteristics. It was ordered by the Great One (creator deity of the Zulu) to go to mankind and tell them everything, human, animal, plant will eventually die and nothing will remain on Earth forever. Intulo was sent to bring this message since Unwaba (the Chameleon which was supposed to bring immortality to all living things on Earth) was taking too long to journey to the world to deliver the gift of immortality. While Unwaba moved very slow, Intulo was able to move very fast. Intulo delivered its message and returned to where it came from. Unwaba arrived, but not wanting to contradict the Great One, decided not to deliver immortality to all life. Thus, Intulo is remembered as the lizard which brought death to the world, dooming all life born into the world since creation to die. It was said to be a blue-headed gecko.
