Spawn Conditions
Companions/Summons
Timed spawn around the Blademaw Pugils at (J-6) (area hidden off the map; accessed north of Veridical Conflux #03). Respawns 10-15 minutes after death.
Does not link with surrounding Blademaw Pugils and they do not link with it, but note that Blademaw Pugils still aggro and that this NM is capable of inflicting heavy knockback from a distance.
Fires ranged attacks approximately every 5 seconds with occasional physical attacks inbetween. The ranged attacks inflict magical, water-based damage, ignore Utsusemi, and have a potent Additional Effect: Knockback. Deals approximately 400 damage unresisted without any magic damage protection.
Ranged attack is a move called "Counter Spore." This name can only be seen in the chat log if the target of the attack is made immune to magic damage via a Fool's Drink or Fool's Powder.
Casts Waterja approximately once every 30 seconds.
Possesses extremely rapid hate decay. It is possible that each of its "ranged attacks" drastically reduce or reset the hate of their targets. Each party member should consider their placement carefully so as to not get knocked back into potential Blademaw Pugil aggro.
Susceptible to Stun. Other enfeebles can land, but will have minimal effect against its attacks (the ranged attacks are not affected by Paralyze or Slow). However, Paralyze may stop Waterja from being successfully cast.
The hrosshveli or hrosshvalur is an imaginary animal from Icelandic folklore. It is described as a whale-like horse that inhabits the seas of Iceland. According to numerous legends of which he is the subject, this sea monster will strike the surface of the water with his tail and cause huge waves to sink ships. It has long been feared by many sailors and fishermen in Iceland.
