• Lottery spawn from Giant Bats in the tunnels at (C-6)-(C-7) and (B-8) every 1-5 hours.

• There is one Giant Bat in the tunnel to the "secret beach", and two near the Gustav Tunnel entrance.
• Any of the Giant Bats can trigger spawn
• Giant Bat respawn time is around 6 minutes

• Golden Bat must be defeated 3 times to fulfill Great Sword Trial 217.

• Kills in Nyzul Isle will not count toward this trial; it must be defeated in Valkurm Dunes.

Historical Background

The Golden Bat (Mimon bennettii) is a species of bat found in South America. However, that is not the origin of this NM’s name. The name is actually a sort of in-joke, similar to Black Triple Stars.

Golden Bat refers to the Golden Bat cigarette, a brand of cigarettes made by Japan Tobacco Inc since 1906 (the oldest existing brand of cigarette in Japan). In recent times, the cigarette is noted as the cheapest cigarette in Japan, which is derived from its use of low grade tobacco. This would give it a very uneven taste, with the tobacco being more prone to being affected by humidity or subtle manufacturing differences. The low price made it rather popular though. The packages historically featured a golden bat on a moss green background. Packaging still features a golden bat on it.
