Notes

• Enemy defense is weakened by 26/256 (about 10%, similar to Dia II effect). This effect will override defense-modifying effects such as Cocoon (and vice versa, the effect of Defense Down is overwritten by Cocoon) and the effect of Acid Bolts.
• Area of effect is centered around caster.
• It may or may not be possible to learn Frightful Roar from the Taurus mobs in Phomiuna Aqueducts, the mechanics of the level cap induce a 30 Blue Magic Skill difference between the skill cap of level 40 (Blue Magic skill capped at 123) and the skill cap of level 50 (Blue magic skill capped at 153), thus not exceeding the restricted 30 level difference of Blue Magic Skill allowed between the current level of skill and the skill cap of the level when the spell may be equipped.

Confirmed: Frightful Roar can be learned in the Phomiuna Aqueducts through the use of merit points spent on Blue Magic Skill. With Blue Magic Skill at level 40 being capped at 123 and Frightful Roar being a level 50 spell (153 cap) the use of meriting is needed to bridge this gap, Eggbean, Gilgamesh.
